This page describes how the archive thinks about accessibility, what we have done, what we know is incomplete, and how to reach us if something is in the way.
The KASHEER archive is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes our current standards, known limitations, and how to reach us with feedback.
We design and build with accessibility in mind from the earliest sketches. Where the existing site falls short, we treat the gap as something to fix — not something to disclaim.
The site is being built and audited against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We aim for full conformance and will publish updated audits as they are completed.
- Semantic HTML for all primary navigation, headings, and content.
- Alt text on every photograph; decorative graphics are explicitly hidden from assistive technology.
- Visible focus indication on all interactive elements.
- Colour contrast ratios reviewed against AA targets.
- Keyboard-only navigation tested across product, cart, and checkout flows.
- Native form labels and inline error messages on customer forms.
The site is tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android. We test on the latest two major versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. If you encounter difficulty with another combination, please write to us.
- Some archive imagery does not yet carry full descriptive captions; we are adding them progressively.
- The product carousel on mobile relies on touch gestures; keyboard alternatives are present but the experience is being refined.
- Older PDF documents may not be fully tagged. New PDFs are produced accessible.
If you encounter any barrier on the site — or want to acquire an object but cannot complete checkout — write to access@kasheer.example with a brief description and the page URL. We respond within 2 working days and will assist with the acquisition directly if needed.
